CXC Electronic Document Preparation and Management (EDPM) Practice Test

The file extension most commonly associated with files containing PowerPoint slides is "ppt." This extension is used for presentations created with Microsoft PowerPoint, which is part of the Microsoft Office suite. These PowerPoint files can include a number of different elements such as text, images, animations, and videos, all arranged in a way that allows for effective presentation delivery.

The other options represent different types of files: "doc" is associated with Word documents, which typically contain text and formatted documents; "xls" is the extension for Excel spreadsheets, used for data organization and calculations; "pdf" stands for Portable Document Format, which is widely used for fixed-layout documents that can include text and images but are not designed specifically for presentation purposes. Each of these extensions serves distinct purposes in document management and preparation, reflecting the specific functions of the applications they are associated with.
